In September 2025, Deorum Studios will be proudly participating in the Good Shepherd Charity Recovery Walk at Wolverhampton’s West Park. This inspiring event united individuals, families, and communities, celebrating recovery while raising awareness about addiction, mental health, and overall wellbeing. Through our ongoing partnership with the Good Shepherd Charity and SUIT Men’s Mental Health, we intend to use our creativity to support the cause, amplify important voices, and demonstrate how art can bring people together.
The Significance of the Recovery Walk
Each year, it gathers hundreds of participants who have battled addiction and mental health issues, giving them a platform to share their stories and inspire change. This year, over 1,500 are expected to join in, and walk side by side, symbolising the journey of recovery and the crucial role of community support.
This gathering serves as a vital reminder: recovery is attainable, and no one needs to face their struggles alone. By uniting in this shared experience, participants celebrate progress and raise awareness about the ongoing challenges that many individuals continue to face on their recovery paths.
Deorum Studios' Role in the Event
Deorum Studios embraced the opportunity to creatively contribute to the Recovery Walk. Our team is creating prints, keyrings, and stickers inspired by themes of recovery, hope, and unity. These items will be offered in exchange for donations, allowing participants to support our work while engaging with meaningful artwork that encourages personal reflection and connection.
Art has a unique ability to encourage connection and evoke emotions. By weaving artistic expressions into the event, we aimed to build a sense of belonging and encourage open discussions about mental health and addiction.

Engaging the Community
A highlight of the Recovery Walk will be the enthusiastic involvement of the local community. Families, friends, and supporters rallied together, bringing a sense of pride and collective energy to the event.
The event will bring together a vibrant mix of vendors, ranging from small businesses and local artists to charities and food stalls. This diverse gathering will create a welcoming space for community interaction, where meaningful conversations, shared values, and mutual support are encouraged reinforcing the idea that positive change and connection thrive when people come together.

Amplifying Voices Through Art
At Deorum Studios, we believe in art to show that it’s okay to struggle, and that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. For the Recovery Walk, we will create artwork that speaks to themes of resilience and hope. Each piece will be designed to remind others that they’re not alone in their journey and that sharing your story, even through creative expression, can be a powerful step forward.
Through this creative approach, we aim to break down stigma and encourage open conversations around mental health and recovery. By visually expressing the ups and downs of personal journeys, the artwork becomes a tool not just for reflection, but for connection, inviting others to pause, relate, and feel seen.
The Impact of the Event
The upcoming Good Shepherd Charity Recovery Walk promises to be a powerful and inspiring event, aiming to shine a light on the vital issues surrounding addiction and mental health. With a focus on raising funds to support ongoing recovery programmes and initiatives, the walk will help ensure individuals continue to have access to essential resources and support networks.
Anticipation is already building, with many expected to take part not only to raise awareness, but to connect with others, share their experiences, and feel a sense of solidarity. The event is set to foster a strong atmosphere of community and hope, a reminder that recovery is not a solitary path, but one we walk together.
Looking Ahead
As Deorum Studios looks ahead to the upcoming Good Shepherd Charity Recovery Walk, we’re proud to be partnering with the Good Shepherd Charity and SUIT Men’s Mental Health in support of vital conversations around addiction, recovery, and mental health.
In the month to come, we’re planning a series of community events and creative workshops that use art as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression. Our aim is to give individuals a space to explore their emotions, tell their stories, and connect with others through creativity, helping to spark open conversation around mental health and recovery.
A Path Forward
The Good Shepherd Charity Recovery Walk promises to be a moving and meaningful event, a celebration of community strength and a reminder of the importance of standing together on the path to recovery. Deorum Studios is honoured to be part of this initiative, using art to amplify unheard voices and build deeper human connections.
As we move forward, we remain committed to raising awareness around addiction and mental health, and we warmly invite others to join us in this shared mission. Together, we can help shape a future where recovery is understood, supported, and celebrated.
